Dec 6, 2009 · The iDrive is not good at reading complex folder structures. I recommend you create a single folder for each of your Artist/Genre and put the music/songs in their respective folders. Jul 30, 2021 · 1.idrive controller does not behave as it shoult. it spins relatively freely, not much resistance( when i had ccc it had resistance and it stopped rotating when you cannnot scroll anymore) i have full funcionality in climate basic control - and in obc menu,but otherwise it does not work as expected.

Nov 15, 2007 · None of the iDrive soft buttons work, either on the dash or the wheel, nor does the main iDrive selector knob. The heater controls do work and pressing any of the three shows the appropriate display, although the iDrive knob will not change any of the settings. The lane change option button on the wheel does work.

Oct 31, 2013 · iDrive reads the tags in the song files, so you need to be sure the tags in the files are correct. To test this, in iTunes, right-click on a song from an album that is not showing in iDrive, click 'get info', click the 'Info' tab and make sure that the Name, Artist, Album Artist, Album and Genre fields have the correct information.

Oct 13, 2015 · I replaced the IDrive Controller with actually a newer version as witnessed by additional wiring on the exterior of the BMW OEM Controller. At first the new Controller seemed "sluggish and confused." By 10 minutes of gently giving each command time to process and finish the command, it worked well.
